Show me your plate and I'll tell you who you are! Food is more than just a calorie carrier. Between junk food and haute cuisine, a whole spectrum unfolds in which social conditions are reflected: Income, status, culture, identity, desires, conflicts. No wonder that cooking is also pop culture! The new single by Erregung Öffentlicher Erregung is a tribute to all those who wield the wooden spoon. And to all those who carry on even when the sauce boils over or the soufflé collapses: the top chefs, hobby cooks, soup cholerics and foam visionaries.

Musically, "Top Jeff" picks up where the debut album "EÖE" left off in 2020. And the comparisons with the supposed NDW role models Ideal could also continue, because this time EÖE even quote: "Your bean chilli is phenomenal. Your vegan curry makes me so sentimental!" Whereas this is not really about the German Nouvelle Vague, but rather about Nouvelle Cuisine. With its pioneer Paul Bocuse, the battle cry is: "Du Beurre, du beurre, du beurre!"

An online game is launched to coincide with the single release. In a culinary coliseum, the band has to defend itself against dark ruler figures who throw chilli peppers and spit fire.
